40 Republicans who don't believe in exceptions in case or rape or incest
After he used the phrase "legitimate rape", Todd Akin received calls to withdraw his candidacy from Senate in Missouri.  These came from other Republicans not because they disagreed with him, but because they didn't want people to know they agreed with them.  That could cost them elections this year - just like it did in 2010.

But this position IS what they believe.

In fact, there is a list of 40 Republicans who are "unconditionally pro-life". Unlike Mccarthy's list of Communists in the U.S. legislature, I actually do have a list (from RNC for Life). RNC for life believes in NO exceptions or compromise.  They will not grant a "pro-life" mantle on politicians who "truly are not".  And thus an endorsement from them means that you really do believe in "no abortions, no exceptions for rape and incest".  Thus:

Now, I should say that philosophically, I agree that if you are pro-life, from a scientific perspective, you must be "no exceptions", because if a fetus is a human being, it doesn't matter how that fetus was formed.  The "no exceptions" platform is thus logically consistent.  But... if you are a pro-lifer and are all about personal responsibility, then the exceptions are ok.  The problem is that science is used to make moral arguments (or vice versa) when it doesn't work.  (Much the way that questionable science about the dangers of bovine growth hormone (BGH) were used to bolster economic or social arguments about the impact of BGH on family farms.  All these arguments may (or may not) lead to the same conclusion - but they may be mutually incompatible.  That is why "no exceptioners" have had to rely on junk science ("rape can't cause pregnancy") because the real science is not on their side and they're just trying to make themselves not look like callous a++hats.

And, for your listening pleasure, here is a song by Taylor Ferrera on "Legitimate Rape":
