What language is this?

The Exquisite Corpuscle got a shout-out in boing boing (Thanks, Cory)!

I was surprised, though, to see the text translated into... something:

O ultima imagine incheie apoi antologia. Cele 22 de persoane prezente sunt : Kenneth Brady, Alan DeNiro, Richard Doyle, Michaela Eaves, M.C.A. Hogarth , Michael J. Jasper, Jay Lake, Aurora Lemieux, Kristin Livdahl, Mary Anne Mohanraj, Tim Pratt, Bruce Holland Rogers, Benjamin Rosenbaum, Nigel Sade, Maia Sanders, Heather Shaw, Diana Sherman, Gary W. Shockley, Christina Sng, Matt Taggart, Greg van Eekhout, Frank Wu.

Mai multe detalii gasiti si aici.>>

Anybody know what language this is?

(And, again, the book is available through the publisher, Patrick Swenson's Fairwood Awesome Press! Or Amazon! )

Googling some samples suggests it's Romanian.

A google search on the sentence "Mai multe detalii gasiti si aici." produced multitudes of .ro sites, so I'm guessing Romanian.

My gut instinct said Romanian, and the other posters seem to have found evidence that bore this out.

I would have expected a few more x's in Romanian, though...

The Clinical Coordinator at one of my Day Job's sites is Romanian. I'll check with her for confirmation today.

I wasn't able to meet yesterday with the employee here who is a native Romanian speaker, but I have successfully managed to do so this morning.

As suspected, this is indeed Romanian, but I'm told it's badly written (or badly translated? perhaps by machine) Romanian.

Among other problems, I'm guessing they don't have the game "Telephone" in Romania, or at least not by that name. The translation refers to the process as being like a telephone without a wire. And they're not talking about cell phones. :)

I am a native Romanian speaker and I can also confirm that the text is written in Romanian. More so, it is not a machine translation, the text is grammatically correct and perfectly meaningful. It might not be the best piece of prose in 10 phrases but it gets the message across. What it lacks are the Romanian diacriticals, that is all.
