Went to the Maker Faire with Brianna today! Such overstimulation - wahoo!!! Cheekeetooot.
In this picture, I am sitting a restored American WWII truck. The dashboard, curiously, had a sign saying that you should NOT put aircraft grade fuel in it. Which is odd, since the owner said that he put in diesel, gasoline, all sorts of stuff, and it ran just fine. (Anybody have any thoughts on that?)
In the last picture, I am sitting "in" a Schwimmwagen. This is a German amphibious WWII vehicle. The owner wasn't around, so I couldn't get permission to sit in it. But we decided to pretend.
the WWII truck, it runs on diesel AND gasoline? um is it steam powered? That's about the only thing I can think of that would handle both fuels in a single engine. (Or does it have both gas and diesel power plants? that would be cool too!)
Whatever, I'm thinking if the sign is vintage, then the idea behind it might be that the truck will run on just about anything, don't waste flight fuel on it!
I like the Schwimmwagen, the whole think looks like a blast!
I didn't see them, but SuRa says that they are nice folks. "We ran their concession stand while they were playing 'cos they didn't have anyone else to do it, and because I love to sell stuff and make money for people." Yeah!
I wish everyone could have seen Frank at this fair. He was in a happy place that I like to call "boy-land," talking about boy things with other boys - and just acting like a level 10. boy.
