I know your post is about fan categories . . . . .

. . . .but I do want to mention that other neither-fish-nor-fowl category, the Semiprozines.

I just want to point out the "new" Weird Tales. They've done an incredible job restructuring - new Editor Ann Vandermeer, great new stories from both new authors and authors you know, new art. Their whole format has changed, and they're getting submissions from great authors. You can find them at www.weirdtales.net

Though they've been around in some form or other for 85 years, right now they meet all the criteria for Semiprozine. There were times in their long history that they would not have qualified in this category, but that is not the case now.

I will also post this in a couple other places, as they deserve a look, and I doubt if many people realize they qualify as a semiprozine.

Thanks, Stu. You beat me to the punch. I was going to write up a thing about semiprozines, but you beat me to the punch. Thanks for the info about Weird Tales. It's an honorable magazine with a long, honorable tradition. Thanks. (Also, many thanks for all the info about generators. You expanded my mind muchly.)
